Rescue / Race Officer Duties.
Please note that advice is always at hand for anyone who is inexperienced as OOD or Requires a refresher on running the diesel boat.

The Rescue Boat Driver is responsible for checking that the diesel is fuelled up and operational prior to the start and that he / she has a fully charged radio and has checked communication with the race hut before going out to the course.
Please note that rescue cover does not mean it’s safe to race or sail. The skipper/owner is required to make an assessment of the conditions and also ensure that the craft is in a seaworthy condition and complies with the class rules.
The OOD is responsible for setting the course starting and finishing the race. He / She will also record the entrants and the results onto the result sheet putting one copy on the notice board and keeping one copy for the Sailing secretary. There must be a minimum of 3 boats to qualify a start.
Rescue / OOD will be awarded 3rd place points.

Monthly Series All Races Count Cup Race weekends one discard if all 4 races sailed OOD/Guard boat alternate between races.
Race Officer / Guard Boat will be awarded 3rd place for all Monthly Series & Monthly Cup events. Prizes awarded to square root of entry.
